Hiya Fred,
I'd just like to draw to your attention an
inconsistency on the last page of your 'jumping' web page.
Starting with a root of G on the E string you've put three
triples in a row! Shouldn't it be:
triple triple head head
i.e. G-A-B C-D-E F#G-A BC-D

This would then be correct for the key of G; or is there another explanation?

Incidentally, out of curiosity - I've been playing since '59, I recently bought
Guitargrid, I wouldn't recommend it. It's poorly explained, although none of
it is wrong, it just avoids one or two points that should have been given a
deeper explanation. In fact, the demonstration on your web page explains more
or less the whole content of Guitargrid.

In retrospect I'd recommend yours, now that I know that it exists, it certainly
does seem to have more content. I'm afraid your site isn't given any ranking by
the search engine robots. Probably because you're pure flash with no html content.
I found your site via a link on a forum.

Also, a previous poster said he found your site hard to read. He's right.

Mac,
Hey! Thanks for your input! I've always wondered what the GuitarGrid was all about. And I had a sneaking suspicion that it was as you said.
As for the 3 triple blocks (mistake) on the demo, it's actually not a mistake. You were assuming it was in the key of Gmajor, but it's actually in Cmajor. Which would make G represent the mode of Mixolydian = 3 triple blocks. I hope that makes sense.
Yes, I am aware that the search engines aren't picking up my site...and it's a real shame. I know how to remedy the situation, but I have been so swamped with other concerns that my site has been on the back burner for almost a year now. It makes me want to scream, because I really think I have something great here. And almost noone knows about it.
As for the stuff being hard to read...I wish someone would be more specific. I'm thinking it can't be the text boxes that pop up periodically during the demos. I'm thinking you guys must mean the real boxy text I use for the titles and stuff. I've been meaning to change it and give the whole site a minor overhaul...but it's still in the works.
